PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Community Voice believe that everyone should have an opportunity to be heard. We are looking to shed a light on issues around our local community. Project Limelight will use the medium of podcasts to do just that.

The Community Voice has partnered with Peterborough Poet Laureate – ‘Malika Speaks’ who will be taking participants through a programme which will run weekly for 12 sessions.

Over this project, participants will be taken through the following:

  • Session 1 – Introduction
  • Session 2 – Exploring podcasts
  • Session 3 – Construction
  • Session 4 – Communication
  • Session 5 – Interviewing
  • Session 6 – Marketing:
  • Session 7 – Jingle creating:
  • Session 8 – Jingle recording
  • Session 9 – 12 – Podcast episode building

By the end of the project, we hope to have a recorded and shared a few podcasts with our community!

WHO IS WELCOME?
  • Anyone is welcome

WHO ARE THE COMMUNITY VOICE??

The Community Voice are a group of creatives interested in podcasting, local issues and helping young people. We are shining a light on local issues through creative multimedia outlets such as podcasts of vlogs. We work with the community to understand what issues they would like to address and provide an appropriate platform to be heard.

Objectives

  • Highlight local issues that are important to the community
  • Supporting young people learn media-based skills
  • Promote cohesion across communities
