WHO ARE THE GAMBIAN PETERBOROUGH COMMUNITY (GPC)?
The idea of having the Gambian Peterborough Community (GPC) started around 01/01/2017 when a few Gambian-born British nationals came to the realisation that they needed a social community that will allow social inclusion and provision of support in times of need and emergency for the Gambian Community in Peterborough. They will also work towards a better understanding and awareness of Gambians living in other cities in G.B.
The GPC is also committed to educate and promote Gambian culture to young children born of Gambians and Gambian descendants so that they can develop a sense of communal belonging and tolerance.
The GPC would also like to promote community cohesion between Gambians in Peterborough and other communities through participating and organising social events.
